Elizabeth's Cobalt Blue
Antique Glass Collection

My mother was an estate dealer in Tulsa, Oklahoma when she died at age 45 in 1980. As her only daughter, I was too young at the time to appreciate her love of antiques and especially her cobalt blue glassware. I knew how important it was to her, however, and have worked to double her collection over the last twenty years. I utilize the cobalt to help give feminine balance to the masculine features of this Gothic English Tudor Mansion. I use the cobalt blue and gold theme in my presentation of food for guests at The Woodward and display cobalt blue glass in some format in every room of the house, down to the antique cobalt knobs on the registration desk at the home’s front door. Other cobalt features are four large vases (about four feet tall); one in each of the four 15’ windows in the Sir Walter Scott Library.
